1 - The Significance of Shipping
An overview of how shipping has evolved into the global industry
it is today, looking at key markets and major trade routes.
Section 2 - The Sectors
This section focuses on the three sectors that make up the
majority of shipping activity; wet, dry bulk and liner trades.
Section 3 - Cargo Handling, Ports &
Beyond
Section three looks more closely at the port, at cargo handling
and infrastructure.
Section 4 - Practitioners
This section examines the various parties involved in the
maritime sector and their interaction with each other.
Section 5 - Documentation
Section five examines some of the significant documentation used
in the industry.
Section 6 - Interactive Workshop
The groups work through a given scenario together, and apply
what they have learnt from the course.

Maritime World Explained is usually run at central London
locations every four to six weeks. The course can also be organised
upon request on an in-house basis. The cost of this course is
£375.00 per person, including all course materials, lunch and VAT.
