The Baltic Exchange and the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers presents a series of lectures to support and develop young brokers and professionals in commercial shipping markets.
Created jointly by the Baltic Exchange and the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, each lecture brings together the industry's thought leaders to discuss important topical events, global trends, their effect on macro economics, shipping law and practice, and brings in to sharp focus how these are relevant to professional brokers.
Keeping up to date on developments that can move markets is a must for reputable advisers and those with a stake in the market, where a qualified and experienced broker can have a dramatic influence on a company's fortunes.
Each lecture is relevant, concise and focussed and the lectures are given by acknowledged specialists in their respective fields.
The Baltic & Institute lecture series have grown and expanded from London and Singapore to Athens and Shanghai. The series has been well received and we added two locations on top of London and Singapore.
We had an average of 50 bookings per venue and a remarkable pick in Singapore with over 80 bookings.
Overall the events so far had great feedback with more than 500 people attending worldwide.
We look forward to continue with the series and offer our members and their younger staff valuable opportunities to grow and progress in their profession.
As well as for the 4th lecture in March, our next and last lecture will take place in four venues around the world:
In London at the Baltic Exchange, 38 St Mary Axe, London EC3A 8BH
