There is absolutely no doubt that belonging to a professional
body helps you gain a competitive advantage, and in an industry as
dynamic and competitive as commercial shipping, the benefit of
demonstrating your commitment to professionalism and your
up-to-date knowledge quite simply cannot be overstated.
The letters MICS and FICS offer a point of difference in our
difficult and ever-changing environment. However, beyond these
intrinsic benefits, the Institute offers a range of services to
support its members.
Members pay an annual subscription due 1st of June each year.
You can become a member at any time and the cost of your membership
can be prorated. Members can pay their subscription through their
ICS account.
Shipping Network
Shipping Network is the official publication of the Institute of
Chartered Shipbrokers. All our members receive a quarterly digital
copy via email. (Hard copy on request).
Our quarterly magazine is our members go-to resource for
maritime insights. Each issue of Shipping Network brings
you the latest news, analysis, and trends shaping the global
shipping industry.
