Greece Branch
The Greece Branch of the Institute of Chartered
Shipbrokers was established in 2005 by Mrs Natalia Margioli, FICS
under the official administration of the Hellenic Management
Centre. The Branch is located in the heart of one of the most
important international shipping centres in the world; the port of
Piraeus. The ICS Greece Branch promotes the ICS principles and
raises the professional standards across the Greek maritime
community.
By providing the Annual Professional Programme, the Greece
Branch prepares candidates for the ICS Professional Qualifying
Examinations leading to the accreditation of ICS Membership. The
branch successfully organises a variety of shipping training
seminars that are offered complimentary to all Greece ICS members
and students. The Branch also holds a number of conferences, forums
and social activities aiming to support and promotion of the
members' interests.
The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers Greece Branch has added a
new dimension to Greek maritime training. In 2010, the Greece
Branch was been awarded at the 7th Annual Lloyds' List
Greek Shipping Awards with the Award for Achievement in Education
and Training.
