This year the BREAKBULK Europe event will take place from 6 to 8 in June, at the Rotterdam Ahoy Convention Centre.

Furthermore as the official educational partner at BREAKBULK, the Institute will be delivering the traditional ICS Chartering Workshop on Tuesday 6^th June for those who would like to brush up on their skills around the Chartering business.

This 1 day workshop will be run by Captain Philip Bacon BSc MBA FICS MCIArb.

Captain Philip H. Bacon is Vice-President of Operations at Siem Shipping Ltd, a multi-fleet shipowning group. Since 2014, he has consulted and provided expert witness testimony through his company Icthus Marine. Following 7 years' naval and merchant navy education, Philip sailed on merchant ships including chemical and gas tankers, general cargo and PSVs. In the shore-based part of his career, he has worked for shipowners from Shell and K-Line to Gearbulk and AM Nomikos.
