HMC/ICS Greek Branch & ALBA Summer School 2024: Shipping in Action

Overview

In an exciting collaboration, HMC/ICS Greek Branch and ALBA proudly present a one-of-a-kind introductory summer course on shipping in Greece. The Summer School program is  organized by the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers Greek Branch and ALBA Business Graduate School, taking place from 25^th to 28^th of June 2024. Join us for a unique and enriching experience in Greece, a country with a rich maritime tradition and boasting the world's largest merchant fleet in both value and size.

Program Overview: The program will be conducted in the vibrant cities of Athens (at Alba) and Piraeus (at HMC/ICS), homes to over 700 Greek and international shipping companies, many specializing in Shipping Management.

Course Highlights:

• Gain insights into the Greek Shipping industry and immerse yourself in the international shipping business.
• Explore cutting-edge technologies in shipping and address current environmental challenges.
• Delve into the commercial aspects of shipping, including Sales & Purchase (S&P) and Chartering.

• Educational field visits to leading maritime companies, ships, and ports.
• Networking opportunities with industry leaders, faculty, alumni, and students from around the world.
• Interact with more than 700 mainly Greek and foreign shipping companies.

Who can participate: Graduate students & undergraduate students from various fields (i.e. business, finance, management, engineering, etc) and new entrants to the shipping industry

Applications status: open

Fees:

• 650 euros (for free movers)
• 250 euros for exchange partner universities
• Special fee for Greek students: 450 euros (290 euros for Deree & ICS Students)

(Fees include school administration and bus transfers to activities and company visits)
