Pakistan Branch - THE WORLD MARITIME DAY – 2024

Overview

Continuing its tradition of celebrating WORLD MARITIME DAY for over three decades, The Nautical Institute - Pakistan Branch, in collaborating with

 

  • The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, (ICS)

 

  • The Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport, (CILT)

 

  • Pakistan Merchant Navy Officers' Associations, (PMNOA)

 

Is organizing a function to celebrate the World Maritime Day 2024.

 

The theme approved by the council of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) is:-

 

"NAVIGATING THE FUTURE - SAFETY FIRST".

 

The theme chosen by IMO for reflects the organization's forward- thinking approach to maritime safety, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing safety in all aspects of the industry's future development.

 

Like every year, we are organizing a one-day seminar comprising of Three (3) sessions:

  1. 1. Inaugural Session followed by Hi-Tea                                 - 0930 Hrs - 1100 Hrs
  2. 2. Technical Session followed by Lunch                                  - 1130 Hrs - 1400 Hrs
  3. 3. Closing Session followed by Dinner                                     - 2000 Hrs - 2300 Hrs

We are reaching out to discuss an important matter regarding the upcoming World Maritime Day 2024, emphasizing the maritime sector's commitment to prioritizing safety in shipping, ports, and all related activities. We firmly believe that prioritizing safety is essential for ensuring the well-being of all stakeholders in this vital industry.

 

By doing so, member states will be better equipped to create the necessary conditions for prioritizing safety above all else. Therefore, we feel it is crucial to address this issue with the utmost regard for safety.

 

To shed light on the various challenges and potential solutions, we have invited several esteemed maritime experts from overseas and Pakistan to present their papers at an upcoming seminar.
