Meetings & functions

The Executive Committee comprising of: Office bearers (Chairman,
Vice Chairman, Secretary, treasurer), seven elected EC members,
Chairpersons of the four main committees and Past Immediate
Chairman meets at least once every three months.
Each Committee chairperson directs the activities of their
respective committee but in line with the branch annual calendar of
events.
At least six functions are held each year which are attended by
both members and nonmembers with particular emphasis on involving
the various stakeholders.

Our main events include:
- Annual Dinner and prize giving gala
- PREP
- Annual Golf Tournament
- Industry open day
- Industry based Conference/Exhibition (Partnership with
KNCCI)
- World Maritime Day (Partnership with Kenya Maritime
Authority)
These events are mainly for professional networking, publicity
for the Institute and are also intended to generate income for the
branch.
The branch provides assistance to its students throughout the
academic year. Tutors and learning materials are available to help
students preparing for exams.
