Canada Branch and local Chamber of Shipping organise a one-day event on the Business of Shipping
Through the local Chamber of Shipping, the one day event "BUSINESS OF SHIPPING" will be returning and is scheduled for Vancouver, Wednesday 21st June. This one day event has been offered twice annually for over 9 years, targeting people outside the maritime industry and persons already within the industry who wish to learn more about "what's out there" and looking to move into other areas of the local or international maritime industry.
Guided and presented by 7 or 8 local maritime personalities who have substantial backgrounds in their own fields, the day long program consists of 7 or 8 modules, ranging from Overview of World Shipping, Vessels-Ports-Terminals, Vessel Chartering; dry and wet, Maritime Law, Marine Pilotage, Oil and LNG, Global perspective.
Starting at 8 in the morning, including breakfast, lunch and regular coffee breaks, historically there are between 60 - 70 attendees from all walks of the marine industry. The material ends promptly at 4:30.
