BESPOKE COMMERCIAL SHIPPING PRACTICE COURSE - PERTH 3-4 Oct 2017
Course objective:
This course is aimed at all those involved in the supply chain of wet & dry bulk cargoes and those who would like to know more or expand their knowledge of the commercial shipping business.
Course format:
The course is run over two days and provides an overview of the commercial shipping business, focusing on chartering practice, charter-parties and the practical implications of various issues that arise out of charters.
Case studies will be used where relevant. The course will cover a range of practical matters that have direct relevance to the day-to-day shipping activities of a shipping office.
Course lecturers:
The Course will be run by highly experienced shipping practitioners in the dry and wet markets with hands on experience gained over many years in the shipping industry.
Course outline:
Surveys and claims handling. Port agents. The inter-relationship between shipping and trading.
Course fees for the two days: $1,350 per person.
The course will include the provision of tea/coffee and a light lunch on both days.
Each attendee will be supplied with a copy of the Institute Dry Cargo Chartering or Tanker Chartering course book.
