The London School of Shipping offers an extensive range of face-to-face programmes in commercial shipping disciplines, ideal for new starters or those working in the business looking to further their knowledge in specific industry sectors. Description:
A comprehensive and practical introduction to Bills of Lading, this two-day programme includes discussion sessions, workshops, group activities, case studies and multi-media presentations. The programme covers the background and uses of bills of lading; bills of lading as a receipt, document of title and transferable contract of carriage; international sales and letters of credit; combined and through transport; Hague, Hague-Visby, Hamburg and Rotterdam Rules; letters of indemnity.
Susan an Associate Professor at the London Law Centre of the University of Notre Dame (Indiana, USA), visiting lecturer at Cass Business School (City University) and at HST Akademie Hamburg. She also lectures for the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers' courses, and for the UKSA's MCA Yacht Masters' qualification. In addition to her academic work, Susan speaks at and chairs commercial shipping seminars, and undertakes in-house legal training. Susan is an academic and legal consultant and examiner for the Grain & Feed Trade Association (GAFTA).
