Australia/New Zealand Branch AGM and Social Event

The 2017 branch annual cocktail evening held on 18th August in Melbourne was covered in Lloyds List Australia with the below article by David Sexton.

A chilly Friday evening was the setting for the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers Melbourne annual cocktail night.

The event was held at CQ Functions, Queen Street, in Melbourne CBD and attracted a cross-section from the industry including ship brokers, lawyers, bankers and many others.

A highlight of the evening was a presentation by Jean Dong, Chief executive of the Australia-China Belt and Road Initiative (pictured below)

Ms Dong discussed the concept and how it is expected to affect and develop trade in future years.

After the formalities, there were drinks and snack foods and many opportunities to catch up with friends.
