Another successful webinar for the ICS Middle East branch!

With 588 registrations from 39 countries, the webinar drew participants from a variety of functions: shipping & logistics, trading, banking & financial institutions and liner operators.

 

The webinar held  on  30th May on the topic Impact of COVID-19 on Trade Finance & International Banking Practice by  Mr. Vincent O'Brien, Director of ICC was jointly conducted by the International Chamber of Commerce and Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, Middle East Branch.

 

Mr. O'Brien who has over 25 years of experience in trade finance & related topics and has delivered technical assistance for Trade Finance in more than 100 countries, kept the audience glued to their screens with practical scenarios and actual cases.  He graphically explained various special scenarios arising in documentary credit due to Covid 19 and the banks position in such cases.

 

The Question and Answer session which followed the presentation addressed a variety of topics such as Incoterms, Electronic Documentation, Banks & Documentary Credit, trends in documentary trade finance and a host of other related issues.
